Our products are inclusive, which means focusing on being allergen-friendly. We took this a step further by making sure our facility was Top 9 Allergen free as well as our product. Seed+Oat Butter has three superseeds, oats, avocado and coconut oil, all-natural sweetener, and low sodium, now that's healthy! Most importantly we wanted it to be delicious! With our co-founder's culinary background, he worked tirelessly to create a delectable product that met our first 2 needs, and he succeeded.

Our products are made in a dedicated TOP 9 ALLERGEN FREE AND GLUTEN FREE facility, including milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, gluten, sesame and soy. We have rigorous quality and sanitation standards and controls in an effort to maintain a cross-contamination-free facility.

Our products are manufactured and packed in our own private facility in Livingston, NJ allowing us to maintain complete control over every aspect of our process.

All of our products are produced exclusively in a dedicated facility where peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, gluten, soy, dairy, egg, sesame, fish, and shellfish are strictly prohibited.

* Use of Coconut Oil - We follow the guidelines set forth by the FDA pursuant to the United States Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and its subsequent amending statutes codified into Title 21 Chapter 9 of the United States Code including The Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004 (FALCPA), which defines the term “major food allergen.” FALCPA requires that foods or ingredients containing a “major food allergen” be specifically labeled with the name of the allergen source. Under FALCPA, a "major food allergen" is one of nine foods or food groups (milk, eggs, fish, Crustacean shellfish, tree nuts (inc. coconut), wheat, peanuts, soybeans, and sesame) or an ingredient that contains protein derived from one of the nine; however, "major food allergen" does not include a highly refined oil derived from one of the nine foods or food groups or any ingredient derived from such an oil. We specifically use highly refined coconut oil in our Seed+Oat Butter. If you have an allergy to coconut or coconut oil, it is always best to consult with your doctor about whether you should avoid foods containing highly refined coconut oil.

We're constantly evolving our Allergen Management Program, which is at the heart of our approach. We maintain strict internal guidelines when it comes to partnering with ingredient suppliers. We not only aim to work directly with farms and facilities that prioritize allergen safety but also perform regular diligence on upstream vendor supply chains and carefully review their processes to ensure they continue to meet our standards with respect to their Allergen Control programs.

Finally, our Seed+Oat Butter is regularly tested in-house using approved allergen tests and by independent third-party laboratories to ensure it meets our Top 9 Allergen-Free standards.
