Sweets from the Earth was founded in 2002 with a passion for and a dedication to creating all-natural vegan baked goods. As a small, family-owned bakery, our products are handmade in small batches using only the finest 100% plant based ingredients in either our DAIRY, EGG, SESAME, PEANUT & NUT FREE or DAIRY, EGG, WHEAT & GLUTEN FREE bakeries. We offer a sinfully delicious assortment of cakes, cookies, breads, muffins, bars & squares available at natural food stores, grocery stores, cafes and restaurants. All crafted without the use of refined sugars or artificial flavours / colours. Our typical consumer is health conscious and environmentally friendly. Sweet. Natural. Allergen Policy

In 16 years, we have grown from a small, one-person operation to a HACCP & vegan certified multi-facility bakery serving natural food stores, grocery stores, foodservice, airlines, schools, cafes and restaurants across Canada. In addition to comprehensive supplier research and documentation, we periodically test both incoming raw ingredients and outgoing finished baked goods for allergens through a federally accredited food laboratory.

Baked goods made in our NUT-FREE facility at 218 Canarctic Dr. are produced in a strict dairy, egg, sesame, peanut and nut free environment. Our ingredient suppliers have been audited for their peanut and tree nut free status in order to ensure that all ingredients entering the bakery are nut free. All Sweets from the Earth products marked as nut free are school safe. As an added measure of safety, in addition to being a HAACP-certified facility, we periodically test both incoming raw ingredients and outgoing finished baked goods for allergens through a federally accredited food laboratory. This facility uses soy and wheat.

All baked goods made in our GLUTEN-FREE Canadian Celiac Association-Certified facility at 228 Canarctic Dr. are produced in a strict dairy, egg, wheat & gluten free environment. Our ingredient suppliers have been audited for their wheat and gluten free status, and each batch of our custom gluten-free flour blend is tested for the presence of gluten. These strict measures ensure that all of our gluten free products are celiac-friendly. This facility uses sesame, soy, peanuts and tree nuts.

JANUARY 2019 UPDATE: We are thrilled to announce that Sweets from the Earth is expanding and opening a new state-of-the-art production facility in Toronto. Conveniently located across the street from our existing operations, we expect to occupy our new bakery in January 2019. This move will allow us to further develop new products, enhance efficiencies and offer unparalleled customer service. We will continue our vigorous food safety management systems that meet the requirements of our retail partners and consumers. Our certifications will include: HACCP, FSSC 22000, GFSI, Canadian Celiac Association, Canada Organic, VegeCert and COR.
