Baking Environment

All of our snacks are prepared with great care. We started the company because Co-Founder Rob Dalton has a severe, life-threatening allergy to peanuts and tree nuts. His safety and the safety of our consumers, is our number one priority. In order to provide safety for those with food allergies and the best product quality for all, we built out our own dedicated bakery in Boston. We never allow peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish or sesame into our bakery.

Ingredient Sourcing

We have gone to great lengths to ensure the safety of our ingredient supply chain. Wherever possible, we source ingredients from single-source suppliers to reduce the risk of cross-contamination with allergens (the majority of our ingredients are in this category). For example, our flax supplier only grows and processes flax, our oat supplier only grows and processes oats. Our oats are harvested by an oat-only combine and processed in a gluten-free, oat-only facility.

Allergy Safety

88 Acres ensures product safety for those with food allergies by enforcing strict allergen-safety protocols. Each ingredient supplier is thoroughly vetted. Allergen and gluten documentation, and Certificates of Analysis are collected for each ingredient. Our bakery is certified gluten-free through the Gluten-Free Certification Organization. We bake our snacks under strict regulations and perform routine rapid tests to ensure our products are gluten-free.

Our Vision

We are bridging the gap between those who have food allergies and those who don’t. Food is community. We believe everyone should be able to enjoy and share the same foods.

Satisfaction Policy

We will accept returns without question from any dissatisfied customer. If they are not happy, we will refund their purchase or send them a fresh batch of product.
